This group of products constitutes of 98 herbal-based medicines that are supplied to the Ministry of Health, Royal Government of Bhutan. The medicines are provided free through the traditional medicine centers in the health centers scattered across the country. The list of medicines is revised after every 2-3 years by a committee of experts based on the morbidity and epidemiological pattern in the country. The medicines are made by blending the ancient wisdom of gso-ba rig-pa and modern technology. In order to improve patient compliance and help in the pharmaco-kinetics the medicines are available in various dosage forms such as capsules, pills, tablets, powder, syrup, etc.
