This Department is responsible for looking after the functionality of research equipment, production machines and infrastructure of the organization. The Department carries out the following activities:

• Carry out repair and maintenance of equipments.
• Prepare cost estimates and coordinate maintenance of infrastructure facilities.
• Carry out preventive maintenance of equipments.
• Monitor and supervise implementation of machine logs and records.
• Coordinate the sourcing and procurement of machine spares and consumables.
• Design and prepare SOPs and manuals for equipments and machine.
• Maintain the inventory of machine spares.
• Provide in-house training on machine operation, maintenance and cleaning.
• Installation, qualification and commissioning of new machines.

This Department is currently understaffed and there are plans to recruit additional manpower under this Department to address the machine breakdown challenges faced by MSP.
